Pixertion Paradise is the portfolio site for Eden Burcombe, a sports photographer covering indoor volleyball in North West England. She's a friend starting her photography business — and volleyball is my sport too — so I designed and built her site, now live on her own domain.

Problem

Eden needed somewhere her work could live beyond Instagram — a site she can send to clubs, teams and players. Template portfolio sites make sports photography look generic, and a new business needs to stand out.

Solution

I built several complete designs as real pages and Eden picked her favourite: her name in big plum type over warm paper, with a strip of her match photos along the bottom that moves and grows as you scroll. On phones the site switches to a simpler layout of the same photos, because the scroll effect only earns its place on a big screen.

Outcome

Live at pixertionparadise.co.uk with her branding, her own words, and a gallery of the full collection — a proper home for her work and a link she can send to clients.

Capabilities

Scrolling photo strip

Match photos run along the bottom of the desktop homepage, growing as they travel — driven by scroll and looping seamlessly.

Client picked the design

Several complete designs built as real pages, not mockups. The bold one won and was refined over rounds of Eden's feedback.

Different on mobile, on purpose

The scroll effect is desktop-only — phones get a simpler grid of the same photography.

Her words

Eden's about text appears exactly as she wrote it, kept in a single content file so updates never rewrite her voice.
